The transition between pages is the best I’ve ever seen it Mike [seriously readers, flip back and forth between both pages, it's great!] and I love the new twist of events. Who honestly saw this coming? Background cityscape is also excellent as usual, and I fear for the day when I might take them for granted because I’ll be so used to seeing them done so masterfully within these pages, I just figured I’d point out how awesome they are again because I haven’t done it in a while.
Now onto my criticism [sorry]. Everything on this page rocks except for the Prof in the last two panels. I don’t envy you having to draw this guy Mike, as he seems like a challenge, despite being a circle. My concern is with the second-last panel for the most part. As I understand it, he’s puffing up inside his bowl, but at the same time there’s some lighting missing from said bowl [which is present in the large panel] to retain the 3D spherical nature of the character, and instead he looks like a bit more of a blotch than a growing, shifting sphere being pushed up against a container [which I can see the effort behind clearly, so it's just a minor tweak]. Same think with the top of the bowl shape in the large panel; there’s a little inconsistency there which is just a bit of a line error.
Also, as for the last panel, I’m enjoying the cartoony exaggeration and less detail of the Prof in it, but Swoop is still in full detail and better focus than the Professor is, despite being in the exact same spatial depth. This one isn’t a big deal as the lack of focus on the professor is simply for dramatics, but maybe Swoop needs to have a little less solid lines or the professor just needs one or two extra minute ones.
Thanks for the constructive criticism. I rushed out today’s page due to numerous circumstances, and yeah, there are inconsistencies and little things that can be fixed. These stick out a little more than my other recent mistakes, so I’ll fine tune them later. Edit: Added some highlights on top of the bowl. Also fixed the upper lip of the bowl in large panel. I actually caught that as soon as I inked it (arm slipped) but I forgot to correct it in Photoshop.
Masterfully done as usual. Didn’t get to see it pre-Shane-critique, but that was a pretty detailed commentary. It’s always refreshing when a webcartoonist responds positively to opinion, and even more refreshing when the legions of fans don’t blindly jump to defend the cartoonist!
I just recently found your comic and I just have to say that’s the best drawn webcomic I’ve read for quite some time! Great work! I’m so looking forward to see what happens next!

Oh prof, don`t be silly, do you want to be squashed against the pavement then, do you?
Awesome work on the expressions and also the text of the professor, `ARE you listening bird` is really good, I can really hear him say it.
I wonder what will happen next…this is going to be interesting

This comic never ceases to impress me. =D
It looks as though Swoop is actually preventing the glass bowl from landing on Topo rather than saving him out of pity.

Filthy stick feet did make me smile. Also yay for swoop being the better man, errr bird.

Swoop better flap those little nubs hard! All the eye bulging in the world isn’t going to help him.
I love looking at the loose line work of your backgrounds in these strips. really gives the scenes a lot of depth.
