Traveler’s Lullaby
Well, that pretty much wraps up Chapter 1, which only took, oh, nearly five months! Thanks to everyone who has been keeping up each week. I am grateful for your patience.
And thanks to all the newcomers as well- I hope you’ll all stick around to see what happens in the following chapters!
I also hope you guys will take a look at the newly opened Topo’s Workshop. The selection is pretty modest right now, but I’m sure some much cooler things will be turning up soon.

Awesome, Mike ! ^^
Seems like everything is set for a big adventure now. I can’t wait.

P.S: Ho, and “Montpellier” with two “l” not one. I will feel guilty if I don’t tell you the truth.

tons of fun! I really enjoy the wood-grain texture in the hanging clouds, and the notion of a scheming blowfish. The whole top panel is my favorite. Do you know my friend, Manny Silva? http://www.drawingpostcards.com. He’s down in San Jose. I think you guys would get along, in your picture-making tastes. Keep up the good-goodness.

Thank you for catching that, Julien. I fixed it right away. Phew! And Alex caught another typo before I replaced the image. Yay for volunteer editors!
Rusty - Thanks Rusty. Hey you know I had your recent bike adventure in mind when I did the tour biking Topo panel a couple pages back!
I feel like I’ve heard of Manny before. Actually, he’s the guy who designed a favorite T-shirt I’ve been wearing for two years (Kitchen Sink Press). So yeah, I think we’d definitely get along, picture-wise.
And wow, his other work is simply beautiful. Anybody else reading this comment should check out Rusty’s link to his buddy Manny’s work right now. http://www.drawingpostcards.com

I love todays page! The poem is lovely and the first panel looks like it could be from a illustrated childrens book!
And oh noes! That fish seems up to no good….

What a great first panel, Mike! That would make a nice looking print just in itself. And I couldn’t agree more with Rusty Z, those clouds are killer!
Looking forward to more, as always.

You amaze me. This is definitely my favorite panel by far. For someone with aspirations of one day doing this sort of thing, you are both inspiring, and more than a little intimidating. As I am reading the comic, I am awe inspired. How do you do it?
